This book seeks to show the difference between the Old and New Covenants, but more importantly to show how loving, compassionate, merciful, and sweet is our gracious God who is not only able but eager to fulfill His promises in our lives.
The covenants are conditions of the heart, not dispensations of time. The New Covenant is God’s promise to the people, the everlasting covenant, the only covenant ever initiated and given by God. The Old Covenant is Satan’s counterfeit, established by the promise of man to be obedient and is always initiated by man. Our role is to believe in the promises of God, what He will do in and for us, and to allow Him to do the work.
Testimonies from readers:
I grew up in an old covenant experience where I was always trying to measure up, do right, earn God’s approval. The new covenant in my heart has given me God’s love and approval in such a real way that I find obedience automatically coming forth from me like a “well of water springing up unto everlasting life”. This is truly “letting go and letting God.” —L. B., Washington, USA
I had tried and tried to do everything ‘right’ for so long. I had such a heavy burden of despair. Then I learned about the new covenant and my life was changed forever. I have learned that it is God that does the work in me. My response is to believe in His promises. There is such joy and happiness in my heart, it is my wish that everyone could experience Jesus in such a way.—V. J., Idaho, USA
